Re: How to Join the MCEBuddy Beta Program

    I would like to join, my details are as follows;

  • MCE version - Vista Home Premium.
  • System specs - Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7200, 2.0GHz, 667MHz FSB, 4MB Cache, 2048MB RAM, 256MB NVIDIA GeForce GO 7600 Graphics
  • Conversions - TV shows usually approx 1hour length. dvr-ms conversions to H.264 mp4, mainly for archiving and space saving purposes.
  • Portable devices - PocketPC (Dell Axim). H.264 profiles but probably limited to divx to save power! For the novelty value an AMV conversion would be fun for my unbranded amv "MP4" player.
  • Cheers.

Re: How to Join the MCEBuddy Beta Program

    Hi,

I'd like to join the beta as well. I'm running MC on Vista x64, on a tri-core Phenom 8450. I am converting .dvr-ms to WMV (as I can't seem to get H.264 or DivX working).

    Thanks!

Audio sync is something we'll be working on quite a lot, though it will mean moving to MP4 for H.264

You are in.  Have you installed ffdhsow or the K-lite codec pack?  If not, H.264 and DivX will not work.

    Hi Derek,

Would love to be on the list for the 2.0 Beta.

Currently running 1.08 under Vista MCE x32 edition and using ffdshow for pretty much all playback of video files.

Do you have an 'alpha' version of the mencoder.ini file? :)

Re: How to Join the MCEBuddy Beta Program

  • MCE version:  Vista and Vista 64
  • System specs:
Vista machine is a Shuttle SB75G2, two 300GB SATA Drives in a RAID 0 stripe, 512MB RAM, on an Intel 2.8GHz P4
Vista 64 Machine is an ASUS M3A-H/HDMI, one 160GB SATA (system) and one 400GB SATA (shows), 2GB RAM, on an AMD 2.6GHz Phenom 4 core
  • What conversions you are most interested in: DivX and WMV
  • Portable devices:  None.  I use MCEBuddy to shrink shows for archival purposes of shows I want to save for later (the wife keeps EVERY episode of Dog Whisperer!), not portable devices.

...also, I'm a professional software tester by trade with 20 years experience...  IE:  You'll get GOOD reproducible bugs when I report any.  :)
  • When the last moment comes, and my life flashes before my eyes... it's going to be one HELL of a show!

     Vista MCE

Intel E6400 on Gigabyte GA-73UM-S2H board with integrated nVidia graphics and 2 gigs RAM.  Attached to Samsung 40" LCD HDTV.

DivX predominately.  Mostly children programming and primetime shows.  Most interested in MCEbuddy 2's ability to maintain show information such as episode titles.

Rare conversions for use on iPod.

    Thanks for this great program!
